Chirpan is a town of around 30,000 inhabitants, located in southern Bulgaria. Chirpan is a part of Stara Zagora Province. There used to be a Roman settlement in its place called Sherampol and the town Chirpan emerged in the beginning of the 15th Century A.D. Chirpan is today a centre of wine making.
