Elenite, meaning `The Stags` in Bulgarian, was uninhabited until 1985, when construction of the resort began. Elenite is situated east of Sunny Beach, and 50km north of Bourgas. The nearest village is St. Vlas. The Bulgarian Black Sea Coast covers 380 Km, tthe whole eastern coast of Bulgaria, with beaches making up around 130 Km of this distance.
