Madjare is one of the prettiest villages in this area and has excellent access to the ski resort of Borovets, about a 15-20 minute drive, and also to the town of Samokov. The village itself has a few small shops and a bar but Samokov provides a more varied selection of amenities including a supermarket, restaurants and bars. It is about an 8 minute drive from Madjare and there is also a regular bus service.

Madjare is a typical Bulgarian village with some lovely old properties. Its great location means it is a highly desirable village both to ski companies and to private investors.

The nearest airport is Sofia, a 50-minute drive.

The house sits in a plot of 350m2. The front of the house opens to a traditional wooden-covered veranda. The ground floor has two very large rooms, the kitchen-diner and the sitting room. The hallway has a traditional open fireplace which has been restored.

The second floor has been configured to offer 3 spacious bedrooms, one ensuite, and a family bathroom. The house has a new central heating system, is fully insulated and has new Austrian PVC windows, making it very warm.
