Description: About Kyustendil Kyustendil has been a long established major spa town of some significance with history dating back thousands of years. Located 90km south-west of Sofia, popular with Bulgarians, Greeks and Finnish tourists for many years due to its major spa facilities, Kyustendil is now fast becoming a destination for many more international visitors due to massive investments in 5 star spa hotels, leisure facilities such as outdoor swimming pool complexes, mountain activity centres offering quad biking, jeep safaris as well as the more traditional horse riding, fishing, mountain biking and trekking.
