The concept behind Salt Lake Country Club is to provide its investors the unique opportunity to tap into an emerging Bulgarian property market. The general idea of the club will be to attract people to an undiscovered, scenic and un-spoilt area of the coast set to be the stage of the first golf course on the south coast of Bulgaria. The Municipality of Pomorie has agreed a 53 million Euro joint venture with a Spanish development company. The shareholders of the company include Gallagher & Newman, one of the biggest building contractors in southern Spain. An area of 2,000,000m2 situated between the village of Kableshkovo and the city of Bourgas, will be the location of a new holiday village focused around a 18 hole golf course (the first in the region) and incorporating a racecourse, polo centre, football & sports stadium, tennis centre and casino. Designed as an all year round tourist destination, there will also be a range of exclusive hotel complexes, swimming pools, restaurants, bars and other leisure facilities. Mark Jones, who is responsible for some of the biggest and most spectacular golf courses around the world, including the Bahamas and Abu Dhabi, has been named as the Chief Architect.

With this in mind and the fact that this course will be no more than 2km from Salt Lake Country Club, the company will offer a comprehensive rental management program to its clients so they can benefit from a rental scheme to maximize their investment. As golf is a year round sport the estimates for this program are that on average the nett income once the course is completed will be in the 8-10% region annually of the purchase price. PMG Group and Thomas Cook Bulgaria have embraced our proposal and the club houses on the resort will be managed by these esteemed companies. The giant European tour operator has also confirmed their eagerness to rent out properties close to the proposed golf-course.

The location of the complex will also benefit the country club; it lies on a gentle slope of the Stara Planina Mountains, providing beautiful views of the lakes, the Black Sea and the fabulous city of Bourgas.

Bourgas is the fourth largest city and the last to start developing on a massive scale. This leaves the city in the unique position to emerge as a unique resort in its own right. The beach and Sea Garden in Bourgas are one of the few virgin places in Bulgaria that still leave people in awe of the nature. The first skyscraper in Bulgaria is also set to be built in Bourgas. At 150m it will be the tallest building in Bulgaria and will add to the image of Bourgas being the gateway to Bulgaria!
