Sofia Ski Residence is situated next to the Gondola Station of Simeonovo, which is part of the Vitosha Mountain Range. Simeonovo boasts a long season, it is located just half an hour away from Sofia Airport and set next to the Vitosha National Park. The area has lots of activity from the capital especially at weekends. The village is perched high up at a level of 1800m with lifts travelling to the top station of over 2290m. The Ski season generally runs from December to mid-April. The 20 or so marked ski runs are serviced by 11 lifts, which is almost one lift for every two runs, this ensures that lift waiting times are kept to a minimum. Overall, Simeonovo is a small resort of outstanding natural beauty and is sure to see investment to expand the Skiable terrain. Amazing Views are offered in all directions due to the elevation of the complex. Views looking down to the Capital are excellent at night.
