Description: The property is set in the centre of a very beautiful and peaceful small town in a region with so many attractions that travellers will need lots of days to see only part of them. The town is advantageously positioned 54 km from Ruse which, Bernard Newman decided, ‘belongs to Europe and not to the Balkans’. Rousse’s promenade down the main boulevard is one of the liveliest in Bulgaria, and the pavement cafes compare favourably with Sofia’s. The Music Weeks in March attract some of the best classical ensembles, soloists and conductors in Europe; opera, a symphonic orchestra and a theatre can be enjoyed in other times. However, if they are not your scene, there’s always cafe-life or the sights.
