Stara Zagora is known as the city of straight streets, linden trees and poets. It is it is one of the oldest settlements in Europe, a relatively large city with a population of about 160,000 inhabitants. Stara Zagora is a modern and important economic centre of southern Bulgaria, located about 230 Km from Sofia.
